            We are a small family owned and operated Blacksmith / Metal Shop and are very proud of our standard of quality and our client relationships. Without quality you have nothing. Its what makes a beautiful piece of art extravagant. The Artist here at Tough & Twisted, Clark Martinek, has been working with metal for about 15 years now so he defiantly has a knack for it. But the most important part of the job for this master fabricator and now blacksmith is the fact that he loves what he does and it shows in his work. That’s hard to find these days in such and raw and dirty field.
            But no matter how many years pass the ideas and passion I have for metal is still as large as it ever was. I enjoy knowing what I do will be around for generations to understand and enjoy. That’s the beauty of an iron medium it last for the most part forever. Its true as quoted I love the smell of coal burning in the morning; I choose to do a lot of projects the good old fashioned way in my good old fashioned coal forge. It’s important to me to keep the classic and traditional ways of doing things alive. We also do a lot of modern and contemporary items as well. And we offer plasma cutting services too.

HOW TO ORDER A CUSTOM ITEM: If you are interested in having an item such as a gate, rail, fence, trellis, fire guard, window covering, furniture, or art piece handcrafted just for you, your home or a gift for someone special you will need to following:

1. An Idea  - This can be found any where, magazines, books, friends, designers or feel free to pick our brains.
2. Size -  Some areas can easily be measured like railings and gates for other projects you may need to decide an actual size.
3. Appointment – Once you have an idea and rough size in mind you will then need to contact my wife or my self to set an appointment to meet. We can meet at our shop location or your home. For those of you who may be out of Arizona arrangements can be made.
4. Design - We will then create your design.  All of our designs here are hand sketched and one of a kind. You may be asked to pay a small design fee for certain projects.
5. Deposit - A deposit is required to start your project, amount will vary per project.
6. Completion - Once your project is near completion you will be contacted to set a pick up date, delivery date or installation time.
